At Last: New content (and design) on this site

Since arriving back in the UK from our work at Kisiizi hospital last year, I have been wondering what to do with this website. The thing is, people are interested in what you’re doing when you’re overseas. Not so much when you live in Devon. And, frankly, I haven’t felt much compulsion to write about life here anyway.

I have been doing things which might interest you, though. Taking photos (and putting them on Flickr), linking to website which have interested me, occasionally uploading videos. So I thought I’d share them with you.

This site will aggregate content from Flickr, Vimeo and Delicious (along with historical articles from this site, and any new ones I write) to give you a flavour of what we’re thinking and doing. Hopefully you’ll find it interesting. A side effect of this process is that there’s now a pretty interesting selection of photos and links from the last 4 or 5 years on the site, which might be new to you.

(For the technically inclined, you might like to know that this website is entirely static HTML. It’s generated from a really neat Ruby application called Nanoc, for which I’ve written some custom data sources to pull info from Flickr, Delicious and Vimeo. No more databases for me! Bring it on, Slashdot!)
